While a common way to enjoy bread tends to be in sandwich form, you can actually get quite creative beyond the obvious. In today’s post we’re featuring our popular Great Seed Whole Grain & 7 Seed Bread that makes for a crunchy base for many flavorful dishes.
Great Seed Bread Recipe Ideas
Great Seed, like all our breads is whole grain and an excellent source of fiber. Additionally, it is made with all non-GMO ingredients, Makes a great sandwich without toasting. But, toasting really enhances the flavor of the seeds. Infusing it’s seedy texture into recipes such as croutons, meatballs and many others really add a nice textural element.

No Bake Gluten Free Granola Bars
Didn’t realize you could make granola bars with bread, did you? Well, you can! When Emmy Kim submitted this recipe idea it made us nutty with delight.
This is a no bake recipe. You can add any additions you want. Emmy made this with raw pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
Nutty Italian Meatballs
Shh! Don’t tell anyone, but recipe contributor, Linda Bonwill shares her Italian family secret for meatballs in this dish. A key element making it gluten free is the use of our nutty Great Seed bread which adds loads of flavor and texture. She says this recipe is a MUST-TRY!
Classic Patty Melt
A classic patty melt is a sandwich consisting of a hamburger patty between two slices of bread (traditionally using rye bread, though some regions use sourdough) and records show they have been around since the 1940’s. It’s a hearty sandwich that can be dressed up anyway you like, though typically, they are served with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the side, and not served with any condiments.

Banana Split French Toast
The nutty texture of our Great Seed bread really plays into this healthy version fo French Toast that is topped with fresh fruit, nuts and a sprig of mint.
Turkey Sandwich
It’s a classic kicked up with the addition of pepper turkey, kale sprouts, avocado, sun dried tomatoes and mustard. Some may even call it California Turkey!
Pumpkin Spice Soup with Pumpkin Spice Croutons
While there is a certain seasonality at play for pumpkin anything, we can certainly get on board with enjoying the pumpkin flavor year round! We love how Linda Bonwill really infused pumpkin flavor throughout this dish. From the base of the soup to the pumpkin spice croutons that play off the pumpkin seeds in the Great Seed bread, that’s a lot of pumpkin. And, we’re ok with that.
Creamy Ricotta & Vegetable Avocado Toast
It’s clean. It’s healthy. It’s unbelievably tasty. This avocado toast variation is just what you’re looking for after a few indulgent meals.
