Going gluten-free doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to eat your favorite foods, whether it be Italian, Korean, American, Mexican, Chinese, or Indian food. Each country around the world offers the best delicacy that you must try when traveling, when eating out at your favorite restaurant or best of all when bringing global flavors to your very own kitchen!
Global Gluten-Free Cuisine
We’ve rounded out the top gluten-free meals across the globe so that you can try it at home.
1. Italian – Gluten-Free Nutty Italian Meatballs
THE SECRET IS OUT!!! Treat your family to these amazingly moist, Italian Meatballs. What is the key to a moist meatball? Lean meat will get tough during cooking. Prevent this from happening with two “secret” methods: adding eggs and ricotta cheese and adding soaked bread as a binder. The eggs and ricotta will keep them moist, and the soaked bread will prevent meatballs from shrinking and becoming tough. (Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!) For an exciting addition, we used Three Baker’s Great Seed Bread for a little crunch.

2. Korean – Gluten-Free Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef)
Many Korean recipes are naturally gluten-free. The areas where you will have gluten issues mostly will be the use of flour in making jeons and buchimgae (pancakes), noodles, and dumpling wraps. To make the recipe gluten-free, you must substitute flour with GF flour or a mix of rice or sweet rice flour.
This gluten-free bulgogi BBQ beef is a quick and easy 10-minute dish cooked in a wok after being marinated in a simple sweet and savory sauce and mixed with fresh seasonal vegetables. The garlic, brown sugar, and chili pair well with the sesame and green onion flavors for one delicious meal!

3. American – Gluten-Free Sloppy Joe
What is a Sloppy Joe? This popular American creation has many different names, such as Sloppy Janes, Gulash, Slushburgers, and Wimpies. A Sloppy Joe also can be made with a variety of different ingredients. The one thing we can all say is, it is most famous for being “sloppy,” on a bun.
You could use a variety of different meats if you did not want to use the traditional ground beef. You can also switch it up and use your favorite vegetable protein and turn them into meatless Sloppy Joes. For your convenience, you can also use store-bought canned product which includes most of the ingredients already.

5. Indian – Chettinad Chicken
Chettinad Chicken is basically tangy South Indian Chicken with a lovely curry flavor. According to recipe developer, Hari Ghorta, “Chettinad Chicken is made by toasting a number of spices with coconut and producing an aromatic masala that has a slight aniseed scent.”
Sounds amazing to us!
