Gearing up to make some fun gluten free pizza this fall?  It’s always a fun idea to change your toppings to match the seasons, and what could be more delicious than a fall-themed pizza party with lots of toppings that everyone will enjoy?

For fall, think of great colors: think oranges and reds to match the leaves. Don’t forget to start out with a gluten free pizza crust, then pick some in-season vegetables and fruits, meats and cheeses, and of course, your deep red tomato sauce. The colors on your pizza will match the colors outside. And, if you are entertaining, you can even have your table décor match your pizza. The stores are full of excellent fall colors that you can pair with your toppings.

Gluten Free Pizza Topping Ideas for Fall

Now, on to the gluten free pizza:

Start with a tasty crust

The Three Bakers gluten-free pizza crust is thin and crispy… Italian style! Bake it right on the rack to make it extra crispy.

Add cheese

You can really experiment with both flavor and color by mixing up the cheeses. Choose from cheddar cheese, Colby Jack, provolone, Monterey Jack, Roma, or everyone’s favorite, mozzarella.  Then, sprinkle on some feta, Parmesan, or goat cheese to really add some flavor!

Then, head for the spice rack

Your spices can also add some fall color to your pizza.  Add dried spinach, basil (fresh or dried), black pepper, chives, cilantro, dill, garlic, oregano, parsley, oregano, thyme, or jalapeño peppers for a bit of a kick!

Next, the toppings

Now it’s time for the toppings!  Choose among from both traditional and nontraditional options: In the fall, you can take your pick from a number of fruits and vegetables.  There is spinach, there are mushrooms (and a number of varieties to choose from), cauliflower, broccoli, artichoke hearts, avocado, beans (try green beans for great color!), onions, olives, peppers, tomatoes (fresh or sun-dried), and zucchini or squash.

Meats

You may be going vegetarian, but if not, think about adding bacon, bison, grilled chicken, ham, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, gluten-free sausage, or turkey.

Adding these to your gluten free pizza will make it taste, and look, delicious! Everyone will enjoy these pizzas!
