Brrr…. it’s cold outside. Warm up with a heaping serving of Taco Chili. It’s a family favorite! Taco Chili with Gluten-Free Snackers Serves 12 2 pounds ground beef or bison (you could also use ground turkey) 28 ounce can crushed or diced tomatoes 15 ounce jar of salsa, gluten-free 10 ounce bag frozen corn 15 ounce can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed 15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed 2 teaspoons instant minced onion 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon ground cumin ½ teaspoon instant minced garlic ½ teaspoon crushed, dried red pepper, optional ¼ teaspoon dried oregano Serve with Three Bakers Cheddar Snackers Brown ground beef until cooked through. Drain well. Mix the rest of the ingredients in the slow cooker. Mix in the cooked meat. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Now that you’ve had some eye-candy to get your mouth watering, it’s time to whip out your largest pot, gather your favorite ingredients and get to work assembling dinner. Pro tip: double your recipe and freeze the extra for a super easy weeknight dinner down the road.

Here are a few tips to get started:

  • Start with a healthy fat, such as like olive oil, coconut oil, butter, etc.
  • Sauté desired vegetables to soften them up.
  • Add liquid – broth, cream, tomato sauce
  • Add your protein – chicken, beef, beans
  • Sprinkle in the spices
  • Simmer to perfection!
