Although a gluten-free diet is suggested to be followed by those with celiac disease many others are adapting this diet as a way of making smarter food choices. As more and more folks determine they have a gluten intolerance, the more mainstream it is becoming. Lucky for us all, popular restaurants are expanding their menu options to give us all new choices. Here are some that we’ve found.

Mainstream Restaurants with Gluten Free Menus

Applebee’s

You can find over 50 items on the Applebee’s menu that are gluten free. There is no shortage of main dish plates to select from that include the New York Strip, Ribeye, Napa Chicken & Portobello, Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Blackened Tilapia, and even the Grilled Jalapeno-Lime Shrimp.

Applebee’s has a wide selection of sides to choose from that include their signature coleslaw, baked potato, seasonal vegetables, and even almond rice pilaf that are all gluten free. This is just to name a few. If that wasn’t enough to direct you to them for your next meal they even offer all of their salad dressings gluten free that many restaurants do not. Make your selection from ranch, garlic Caesar, honey mustard oriental vinaigrette, and many more.

Chili’s

The ever popular Chili’s restaurant has a decent selection of gluten free options. Although there is no current way to tell which item is gluten free and which isn’t. After some careful research we have compiled a list of their signatures items available to you.

Currently Chili’s offers a chicken Caesar salad, Caribbean salad with chicken or shrimp, Memphis dry rub and original ribs, classic sirloin, grilled chicken salad, grilled salmon, and their margarita grilled chicken (ordered without tortilla shrimps.)

You can enjoy a number of their sides that include loaded mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, corn on the cobb, coleslaw, black beans, and mandarin oranges. Anyone of their 5 burgers are safe for gluten free guests as well. Take a bite into their Classic Bacon Burger, Southern Smokehouse Burger, Jalapeno Smokehouse Burger, Mushroom-Swiss Burger, or their Old-timer Burger.

Gluten Free Restaurants

In any city you visit you are sure to find a restaurant that has gluten free items on their menu. Red Robin, Smokey Bones, and Uno’s Chicago Grill all cater to the gluten free diet as well. If you ever have question about an item on the menu make sure to ask the restaurant manager before placing your order.
